Thursday's parliamentary group meeting of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party is scheduled to discuss President Williams Ruto's proposal for a bipartisan procedure to address issues that have resulted in weekly anti-government mass protests.
This occurs a day after President Ruto met with members of the National Assembly and Senate's Majority side and allegedly gave the teams the order to give the plan top priority.
According to Kimani Ichung'wah, he will meet with the Minority side to discuss the team's makeup so that it is available when parliament reconvenes next Tuesday.
Kenya Kwanza supporters were assured by Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot that the party's parliamentary leadership would make the correct choices during the talks.
Minority Whip Junet Mohammed has indicated that they will be pushing for the establishment of a Committee which will comprise 14 members, each side producing seven members.
